I'm having a lot of trouble with the difference quotient and 1.2. I would like if we could go over some problems involving those subjects. Thank you Lewis Parris.
Using different variables as a function of x was confusing in 1.2, and I never fully understood that chapter like the others. Problems with the height of the rectangle in the graphs, and applying the "___ as a function of x" strategy to harder problems confused me.
I find it confusing that we put a function of x inside another function and i often don't remember how to set these up or combine them with area perimeter formulas.
I'm having so much trouble with story problems that have you express the____ as a function of____. I've looked online for about 30 minutes now and the videos/sites don't help me at all.
I am struggling with interpreting word problems when you are asked to show something as a function of something else. I also need clarification on even, odd and neither functions.
I'm still having some trouble reading and understanding the F of G problem, and writing the area of an object as a function as it perimeter. Also the problems with the different quotients are confusing as well.
I am having trouble with certain story problems, like 84 and 86 in 1.4. Also, some of the inverse problems are messing me up. I don't understand how to solve (f of g)^-1.
The difference quotient can get confusing especially when there are fractions. Also, writing formulas such as areas as a function of a part such as the length is difficult to understand. Thank you! -Sofia M
I'm having a lot of trouble with 1.2 and 1.1 and I would like to go over more of those ideas in class. Thanks thomas constand
ReplyDeleteI just took the 1.2 even and odd functions quiz on quia and I had so much trouble with it so can we please go over that stuff in class.

ReplyDeleteI am havign trouble with 1.2, especially with question 89-94. Thank you Max Sass
ReplyDeleteMost of 1.2 was hard and i really don't understand how to tell if it is an even, odd or neither function.
